From Cusco, my daughter and I took a bus tour to the Sacred Valley. The Sacred Valley is a valley located in the Andes highlands of the Cusco region.
It is dotted with villages that still retain Inca-era ruins and handmade craft markets. Due to time constraints, we were unable to participate in a full-day tour that included Ollantaytambo and Pisac. Instead, we joined a half-day tour and visited the textile village of Chinchero, the salt flats of Maras, and the terraced field of Moray. Moray is believed as the Inca laboratory, but it is not certain.
クスコから、娘と私は聖なる谷へのバスツアーに参加しました。聖なる谷は、クスコ地方のアンデス高地にある谷で、インカ時代の遺跡や手作りの工芸品市場がある村々が点在しています。時間的制約のため、オランタイタンボとピサックを含む1日ツアーに参加できませんでしたが、代わりに半日ツアーに参加し、テキスタイルの村チンチェロ、マラスの塩田、モレイの段々畑を訪れました。モレイの段々畑はかつてのインカの研究所と信じられていますが、確実ではありません。

After returning to Cusco at the end of the tour, we went to the famous huge mercado, San Pedro Market. We tried a fresh hugo, juice. You can have a variety of fruits mixed together right in front of you. We ordered just one cup, but it turned out to be four cups. It was very delicious after a long walk.
ツアー終了後、クスコに戻った私たちは、有名な巨大メルカド、サン・ペドロ市場を訪れました。 新鮮なフゴのジュースを試しました。 いろんなフルーツをミックスして目の前で作ってもらえます。1杯だけ注文したのですが、結局4杯分にもなりました。長く歩いた後にとても美味しい。
I went back to my exhibition and met more visitors. Cusco is a world-famous destination that many international tourists visit. Later, I received the guest book from my show and found out that people who signed it came from at least 34 countries. That's including 3 countries in North America, 11 countries in South America, 6 countries in Asia, 1 country in Oceania, 1 country in Africa, and 12 countries in Europe.
Some visitors left inspiring messages. Some of them wrote how their life journey can relate to mine, while others wrote about their own thoughts on "home." Some people who were on their honeymoon literally "tied the knot" in my installation, and others tied a thread in memory of loved ones who had passed away.
Despite our different nationalities, everyone read my artist statement, reflected on it, and participated in the work. I was happy to learn once again that art can connect people beyond language and nationality. Again, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who visited the exhibition and took the time to experience it. Thank you also to everyone who gave me permission to post these photos.
また展示に戻りました。 クスコは世界的に知られた観光地です。後に受け取ったサインブックに記帳して下さった人たちの国籍を調べて併せてみると、北アメリカの3カ国、南アメリカの11カ国、アジアの6カ国、オセアニアの１カ国、アフリカから１カ国、ヨーロッパの１２カ国など、全て合わせると、少なくとも３４カ国からものの人たちが糸をつけて下さったようです。
中には感動的なメッセージを残してくれた方もいました。自分と、私の人生の旅を重ねて下さっているものだったり、自分のホームについての考えを書いて下さっていたり。新婚旅行で訪れている人たちは文字通り、私の作品に結び目を作る（結婚するという英語での比喩的表現）をして下さった方もいるようです。また亡くなった大事な人を思って、糸をつけて下さった方もいるようです。
国籍がこんなに違うにもかかわらず、皆さん私のアーティストステートメントを読んで理解してくださり、またさらにそこから考えて下さって、作品に参加してくださったこと、アートは言葉や国籍を超えて、人とコネクトできるということを今回改めて学ぶことができたことは幸せなことでした。繰り返しますが、私のショーを訪れていただき、時間を割いて体験してくださった皆様に感謝申し上げます。 これらの写真を掲載する許可をくださったことにも、心より感謝申し上げます。
On the street in front of the field of Qorikancha, a parade was happening, so I followed it. It continued to Plaza de Almas. I didn't know the reason for this particular parade exactly, but it looked like this kind of parade often takes place in this city. People here love to dance! Such a happening of seeing the unique and energetic performances of various groups dancing in traditional costumes was an experience that I felt was the real pleasure of traveling.
コリカンチャのフィールドの前の道でパレードが行われていたので、それについて行きました。 パレードはプラサ・デ・アルマスまで続きました。このパレードの理由はよくわかりませんでしたが、この街ではこのようなパレードがよく行われているようです。ここの人はよく踊る！さまざまなグループが次々と民族衣装を着て踊る、ユニークでエネルギッシュなパフォーマンスを思いがけなく目にするのは、旅の醍醐味だと思える経験でした。
We had dinner at Nikkei restaurant called Limo right in front of the Plaza de Almas.

The bouquet I received at the opening reception was still fresh, so I asked the hotel to keep it for me as we were moving on to Lima the next day.
オープニングレセプションでもらった花束、まだ元気なので、次の日はリマへの移動でということで、ホテルにもらってもらいました。
