I received a copy in the mailbox, and flipping it over was like a goose-bump experience! My work appears across twelve pages. I talk about my journey of creating fiber installation art, the story behind my work "A Thread X A Thread", and my recent solo exhibitions in Peru.
This is the second time I've been featured in this magazine. The last time was in the fall 2022 issue, and it's great to be back! What I like about this magazine is that it emphasizes how and why people create, including their challenges and dreams, not just the finished work. I truly appreciate the team of " What Women Create" for their commitment to respecting the raw voice of the makers and creating such a thoughtful magazine.
It goes on sale on March 24th. The print version will be available soon (maybe a little later than the 24th) at major bookstores and select craft shops. I can't wait to see it on bookstore shelves!
Huge thanks go to the photographers for my article, Dimitris Skliris Photography, christy McGarity, and Centro Cultural Peruano Japonés!
It is hard to choose one from them, but the contents are the same. It feels like I am featured in four different magazines!
If you find it in the bookstore near you, please let me know! I'm going to dance with joy!
