Front Porch Project

Exciting news!

My daughter Sarah and I are selected as one of the creatives for the project called Front Porch Project founded by Downtown Wichita next year.  Downtown Wichita received a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Knight Foundation Fund at the Wichita Community Foundation for the project.  The overview of the project is here.  Front Porch Project Wichita. We are very excited to be a part of this project as a team and to contribute to the Wichita community through art!

We're paired with Old Mill Tasty Shop, a Wichita's beloved restaurant.   The restaurant is located in the middle of downtown on the Douglas Street.  This street is called Douglas Design District, which is a home to over 500 locally owned businesses with an emphasis on design.  Lately, a lot of murals were added in this area including the one by Sarah and her friend.  The restaurant is family-owned and it's like a family for the people in Wichita.  The food is all homemade and excellent. It opened in 1932 and they are cerebrating 90 years next year.  We are happy to cerebrate with them through this Front Porch Project!

Iridescence Series Paintings from the KMUW Show

My show at the KMUW is up there through January next year.  I'm glad several paintings have found their new home already.  May these paintings bless their new place and fill their space with love and light!

Today, I'm going to introduce some of the paintings  from the "Iridescence" series at the show.  They are mixed media with the material of thread.  The paintings have rich texture.  I hope you will enjoy them.  They are all same sized, "12" x 12", and framed.  If you are interested in purchasing my work, please talk to the KMUW receptionist. Or you can contact me through my website or my email: cmyose@hotmail.com or ckmyose@gmail.com.
